48nord has an international standing as a formation for experimental electro acoustic music. Thereby Siegfried Roessert (E- and Double Bass, live-electronics, composition) and Ulrich Mueller (guitar, live-electronics, composition) consequently fathom the tension field between improvisation and composition. Characteristic is the coaction between the acoustic instruments and their approach to the world of electronical sound-generating and sound-processing.

48nord appears not only as a duo (e.g. at the International Symposium for Improvised Music / Luzern 2005) but also works with international renowned musicians. the ensemble ...schsch is founded and directed by 48nord.

48nord composes experimental radiophonic works as well as music for theatre and ballet pieces.
