Founded in 1993 ensemble Intégrales has gained a special reputation in the contemporary music scene by the special emphasis they are putting on dramaturgic profile and concept. 'With commitment and zest...The vitality of both playing and writing augurs well for the future of contemporary music.' the Irish Times wrote on occasion of a concert of ensemble Intégrales in Belfast.
Besides dealing with interdiciplinary projects and their focus on the younger generation of composers their explicit interest in non-european cultures also represents an important part of their work. Since their foundation they have built an international reputation for their performance of new chamber music. The enormous scope of its repertoire is documented in various radio, CD and TV recordings.
ensemble Intégrales plays all over Europe, the US and in Asia and was invited to renowned festivals like the Berliner Festwochen, Gaudeamus Festival, Bregenzer Festspiele, Wien Modern, Bludenzer Tage für zeit-gemässe Musik, Fadjr -Festival (Iran), Bodenseefestival, Schleswig Holstein Festival and many others.
Their concerts reflect the variety, playfulness and very own beauty of contemporary music. The relaxed un-dogmatic attitude, enormous stylistic variety, virtuosic style and last but not least their joy while performing communicates immediately to the audience.
The exciting and versatile programs of ensemble Intégrales including their interaction with different arts are very well received and even reach out to an audience which might usually be sceptical towards the ususal ways of presenting the so-called ’serious’ music.
