Bernhard Herbordt and Melanie Mohren are graduates of the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. They cooperate to create interdisciplinary spatial and audio installations, radio plays and theatre works in which both operate as directors, authors, producers and sound/video designers. They have received many grants and prizes for their work.

soniq performing arts represent their production Von Muecken, Elefanten und der Macht in den Haenden, a collaboration with the composer Hannes Galette Seidl. The world premiere was held in co-production with Theatre Bonn (2008).

Herbordt/Mohren developed the stage production Galaxy Hotel [play for music] (kompsition: Burkhard Friedrich), world premiere in October 09 at Kampnagel, further performances in Berlin (Sophiensaele) as part of the Festival Ultraschall. please check here for more details.
